我的种植日记_指天椒

一年半前,我在朋友家吃清蒸“濑尿虾”,朋友拿出两包小辣椒,剪得小小的,然后再用汤匙压,把辣味毫无保留地逼出,融入酱油里。我还问朋友这辣椒有什么特别,他不多说,只说你吃后就知道。 于是,我把虾沾上酱油,然后把虾放入口里,天呀!这也太辣了嘛!可是,那辣中带香的味道,至今都无法忘记!


打从那天,我就四处寻找这辣椒的品种。这指天椒可是像青苹果皮的颜色。果然不负我望,我在邻居的家看到这辣椒。我和邻居讨了一些辣椒,丢进盆里,希望它真的能长大。


经过我每天地浇水除草,几个月后它终于长出芽了。它逐渐长大,可是一年前的它,长出了一两颗辣椒后,好像越来越干枯了。我也渐渐放弃,辣椒实在太难种了。又不可不勤力浇水,又不可浇太多水,又不可太热,必须在阴凉的地方才可以。


半年前,有一天老公不懂放了什么肥料,把它搬入新盆后,它好像起死回生,越长越茂盛。现在的它,已经长满辣椒,我真的好开心!听说爱吃辣椒的人都种不成辣椒的,也许我老公没像我那么好辣,所以他种得成。

现在,指天椒加酱油,已经是我晚餐不可少的一道配料。就算一道简单的烧肉+白饭+指天椒酱油,也可以是我一顿满足的晚餐了!

红豆汤

不知不觉,我已经三个星期没有下厨了。我今天领出煮红豆糊所剩下的红豆,因为老公他说想喝红豆汤,那懒惰的我就煮最简单的红豆汤给他算了。



材料就是红豆,冰糖和香兰叶。你也可以加入一些龙眼干及柑皮,那么就会有带有些香橙味咯!


红豆是女性健康的朋友,它让你气色红润,可以补血,促进血液循环。

豆类都含高成分的尿酸, 所以我只给老公吃一碗,其它的我都自己吃完了。

Gathers In_聚

It was on 14 May, one day after the "Black Friday 13 May" that my husband Gerald and I entered this restaurant called "Gather In". It is located at Sungai Tiram, a quite new shop lot that near to where my husband works.



When we entered the restaurant, only have two customers who already finished their meal and almost to go. I quietly asked my husband, no crowd one, is the food OK? And he answered me OK! Fine, I always believe him.




Here comes the 3 pages menu with various type of western cuisines. I started to snap the moments with my camera phone.




We prefered hot drink therefore I ordered nutmeg whereas he ordered chinese herb tea.





The starter is clam chowder. Gerald already took one of the bun before I manage to snap the photo. Tastes good but I think I need more salt.





This is Gerald main course, grilled fish with Italian herb. I like the juicy fish coupled with the taste of the Italian herb.




This is my main course, the pan roast chicken. The flesh slightly harder for me. Gerald said I should have ordered the Chicken Chop or Chicken Maryland that may taste better than this. But nowadays, I try to avoid taking the fried chicken at outside, except KFC la!





Before we left the restaurant, I tried to snap the photo of the entrance. Look at the banner, the owner has the business mindset, day time provides economy rice, night time provides western food. My thinking, the day time business guarantee better than the night as this shop is located near the FIZ area.



I will probably visit next time for the economy rice rather than the western cuisine as I can find much better western cuisine in Penang... And very likely that most of the customers will go to Good Friend Seafood which moved from Teluk Kumbar to Sungai Tiram, and located at the same row with Gather In...

I am Back!

It has been more than 2 weeks since my last posting on early May. Sad to say my CPU has chosen to leave me after following me for 3 years. Therefore I am unable to log into my blog.

Until you see my post again now, I have bought a brand new CPU. Initially I have a difficulty to choose Desktop or Notebook. Eventually I have chosen a Desktop as I decided to keep the balance money to buy an IPAD2 or IPhone 4S.

This brand new CPU is yet to install with any Chinese Translator. Therefore no choice but I have to post using my poor English language.

花生仁汤


嫁给了福建人三年,说长不长说短不短,这个不说,但是住了槟城整整三十个年头,我前几天才知道原来花生仁汤是福建人的甜品。有点失败咧! 这甜品的最大特色是花生的软、糯、香、甜,而且入口即溶,melt in your mouth!

花生仁汤有好几种,而我煮的是用去皮花生和清水来熬制的。

材料:

去皮花生 300g
香兰也2-3片
水8杯
冰糖
糯米粉4茶匙
步骤:
(1) 将花生洗干净。
(2) 将花生浸泡在水里,放隔夜。
(3) 把浸泡隔夜的水倒掉,花生沥干备用。 浸泡了一夜的花生更加乳白。
(4) 将花生和香兰叶放入锅里,用大火将水煮至滚。然后用小火煮4-5小时。
(5) 将少许水加入糯米粉里,搅至均匀。
(6) 将糯米水倒入花生汤里,搅拌至均匀。用中火煮至滚后即可食用。
我托妈妈从巴刹买了些油条回来,花生汤配油条,虽然简单,但是绝对绝配!
温馨提示:

(1) 花生浸泡隔夜,除了可使到花生更加软,以便吃时溶在口里,也可以去掉花生的苦涩味。
(2) 如果不要煲这么久的话,可以用pressure cooker, 这样煮出来的花生肯定溶在口里。
(3) 放糯米是为了汤水有稠稠的感觉,我没有糯米,所以用糯米粉取代,也有同样的效果。

黑豆排骨汤

周末里,我煮了个简单的黑豆汤。原来黑豆有这么多的功效。

黑豆的功效:
(1) 降低胆固醇
(2) 抗老抗氧化
(3)调理肠道
(4) 健脑益智

对女性来说,黑豆是著名的丰胸食品,并且可以预防中年妇女骨骼疏松症的作用。
对肾虚的人来说,食用黑豆可以调中下气,解毒利尿,缓解尿频,腰酸,女性白带异常及下腹部阴冷等症状。

煮黑豆汤我预备些什么呢?
(1) 黑豆100g
(2) 排骨200g
(3) 蒜头一团
(4) 盐适量

步骤:
(1) 把黑豆洗净,然后放入冰箱浸过夜。这是使到黑豆更加软, 不要的话,浸三至四个小时也足够。

(2) 把浸泡后的水倒掉,把黑豆沥干。
(3) 把排骨放进滚水中烫去血水,然后捞起来,洗净沥干。
(4) 把排骨,黑豆和蒜头放进电子煲里,煲5-6个小时,再加入适量盐后即可食用。



芒果smoothie


昨天是劳动节,各大超市都有sales。 碰巧Sunshine Square又在这时候搞 “Sunshine Card Fiesta”, 当天又有重头节目“于东于哲的亲密接触”,整个广场挤得水泄不通。

我和妈妈不是来看东于哲,而是来扫货。好恐怖,货都给人扫光了,好像不用钱这样的! 买不到妈妈要的东西,我和妈妈于是去Sunshine LipSin。一踏入Sunshine里面,我就闻到一阵阵的芒果香。我心痒痒,随手便买了5粒芒果回家。

今天又没做工,一大早便和老公去看‘关云长 - The Lost Bladesman’。这出戏只是'麻麻地',我嫌甄子丹饰演的关二哥太瘦了,我老公则嫌他没有关二哥的气势。

看完戏,吃饱午餐,我们便回家了。回到家没事做,我于是拿出昨天买的芒果,拿出搅拌机,做成了一碗可口的芒果smoothie!


材料:
芒果两粒。

冰块一杯。
水少许。
糖少许。
奶粉2-3汤匙 (代替鲜奶)。

做法:

(1) 将芒果去皮,切丁。
(2) 将以上所有材料放入搅拌机中搅拌至顺滑即可。

完成的smoothie 一定要即饮,因为它容易氧化。芒果smoothie可美肤养颜,增加肠胃蠕动,并能降低胆固醇,真的是‘一喝多得’!
